Tiny Eternities and Magnificent stars poem 9

She buried
       her ears
   into the calm
        of his heartbeat,
    and in a matter of seconds:
  fell terribly in love
        with the way
     her loneliness fell
 softly and suddenly,
         asleep,
      in his chest.
